Social media provides access to news for Gambians. Yet, participants in these agora lament the huge amount of fake news on social media. To reduce community people’s vulnerability to fake news, the agora participants suggested the media support development of critical thinking skills among communities that can enable people to evaluate information sources and distinguish facts from rumors or mere hearsay.
