In the agoras on youth migration aspirations, participants noted that aspirations of youth are formed not because there are no jobs but a lack of well-paying jobs, as well as family influences for people to ‘make it’ in a big way. Also, how youth and family define success mean young people may not necessarily see opportunities in their homes as adequate. In the perception of families, migration is the way for youth to make it in a big way. But this perception is false.
