Women migration can impact children in many positive and negative ways. Children assume caregiving roles for fathers and siblings, often negatively affecting their education and life development in general. This is because women are more of the homemakers in Akan culture. Positively women migration can bring resources and opportunities to children. Moreover, women face exploitation in several instances when they migrate. This is due to misinformation and lack of resources.
Available avenues for women to seek verified information on migration include Twifo/Ati-Morkwa District Assembly, Ghana Police Service (Twifo Praso Command), Traditional Councils, and Area Councils.
