For community people in this agora, news and program co-creation and co-reporting were identified as truly enhancing trust building between the media and communities and enhanced ownership of news. But news co-creation and co-reporting work only when participants plan and work together at all times. Working together was important for collectively countering misinformation and to share clear, factual information
on migration. This encourages trust in news from the media and communities. Community shared interactions also empower individuals to frame their own experiences regarding the real
dangers and realities of migration. Moreover, communities working together to co-design and implement programs and activities for tangible local economic alternatives and sustainable support systems was surely a most fruitway way to minimise irregular migration
