Migrant Media Action - The Gambia

#MMAct is implemented in the four regions in The Gambia (West Coast, North Bank, Upper River, and Lower River). This is towards promoting access of media and community people to credible information, safe migration options, and alternative livelihoods.

Lamin is a seasoned youth activist who has held key roles like Chairperson of Kombo East District Youth Committee and Coordinator of the Gambia Community Library project. As a journalist and sports enthusiast, he uses his platform to advocate for youth welfare and citizen engagement. Currently, Lamin's the Manager of Kaira Nyining Community Radio station, where he runs programs like "Youth Bantaba to educate and inform. His experience in youth work and media led him to serve as Regional Coordinator for the Migrant Media Network project in 2020, and now he's Country Coordinator for the Migrant Media Action Project in The Gambia. What drives Lamin is empowering youth and promoting informed decisions on migration. He's passionate about creating positive changes in his community.
